How do I edit a question?

Select the question slide with nothing selected, open the Slide tab, and edit the prompt, choices, correct answer, points, attempts and feedback.

Each question's content lives on its question slide. You edit it in the Inspector, whether you added the question yourself or it came in with an imported course.

Open the question

  1. #

Select the question slide in the Slides panel. Question slides show a Q marker.

  2. #

Click an empty part of the slide so that nothing is selected.

  3. #

Open the Slide tab in the Inspector and scroll to the Question section.

Change the content

  1. #

    Edit the Prompt.

  2. #

Edit each choice's text, or choose Remove to delete one and + Add choice to add one.

  3. #

Select the radio button beside the correct choice to mark it as the answer.

  4. #

Turn on Shuffle choices / items to show them in a new order each time.

Change the scoring

  1. #

    Set Points if correct.

  2. #

Set Attempts to 1, 2, 3 or unlimited.

Change the feedback

  1. #

Enter Correct feedback text, Incorrect feedback text and Try again feedback text.

  2. #

To show a layer instead, choose it in Correct feedback layer, Incorrect feedback layer or Try again feedback layer.

  3. #

If you leave an outcome with no text and no layer, learners see a short standard message instead: Correct, Incorrect or Try again. Submitting with nothing chosen shows Answer the question before you submit., unless the course has its own message for that.

Tip: The words learners see on the slide are slide objects. If you change the prompt here, check the text on the slide matches, then choose Preview to answer the question yourself.

Every change is one step you can undo with Ctrl+Z.
