How do I fix a question with an unknown answer key?

Open the import report, select the question under Questions with an unknown answer key, then choose its correct answer.

Last updated

Sometimes an imported file does not say which answer is correct, most often a published package. Xogogy never guesses: it marks the question so you can set the answer yourself. Until you do, no answer to that question scores as correct.

Find the questions

  1. #

Select the findings count in the header to open the import report.

  2. #

Find Questions with an unknown answer key. It lists each one by its title or prompt.

  3. #

Select a question. Xogogy opens its slide with the question ready to edit.

Set the correct answer

  1. #

With the question slide selected and no object selected, look at the question's settings in the Inspector. An Answer key unresolved badge marks the question.

  2. #

For a multiple choice question, select the correct choice. The badge and the finding clear in the same step.

  3. #

For other question types, set the correct answer in the question's own fields.

  4. #

Repeat for each question in the list.

Check it

  1. #

Choose Preview and answer the question both ways.

  2. #

Open Live variables in the Preview side panel to watch the score change.

Tip: Setting an answer is one change, so Undo reverses it if you pick the wrong choice.
