How do I save my course as one file to share or back up?

Choose File › Save course archive… to pack the project into one .xogogyzip file. Open it again with File › Open course archive….

A course archive packs a whole project (the course, its media and its edit history) into one .xogogyzip file. Use it to back up a course, move it to another computer or send it to a colleague. It is free and needs no licence.

Save an archive

  1. #

Save any pending edits with Ctrl+S.

  2. #

Choose File › Save course archive….

  3. #

Choose where to save the file and give it a name ending in .xogogyzip.

Open an archive

  1. #

Choose File › Open course archive….

  2. #

Pick the .xogogyzip file. An archive saved by an older version ends in .coursezip and opens the same way.

  3. #

Choose a new, empty folder for the project. Xogogy checks the archive first, then writes the project into that folder.

Tip: A .xogogyzip file is a standard ZIP, so any ZIP tool can look inside it. Xogogy refuses an archive with unsafe paths, links or oversized files, and leaves your folder untouched.
