A template is a course you reuse as the starting point for new ones: its slides, structure and theme. Xogogy includes the Accessible Starter Course, and you can save any course of your own as a template.
Create a course from a template
- #
Open any course, choose Course settings in the header and select Advanced.
- #
Find Templates and, under New from template, choose a Template source. The built-in Accessible Starter Course is always in the list.
- #
To use a template file someone sent you, choose Load template file… and pick the
.cstemplate.jsonfile. It is added to the Template source list. - #
Type a Title for the new course, or leave it empty to keep the template's own title.
- #
Choose New from template. Xogogy creates a new course with fresh ids, so it never clashes with the course the template came from.
Save a course as a template
- #
Open the course you want to reuse and go to Course settings › Advanced › Templates.
- #
Under Save as template, type a Template name and, if you like, a Template description (optional).
- #
Choose Save as template. Xogogy writes a
.cstemplate.jsonfile you can keep or share.
Tip: A template leaves out learner tracking and edit history, and saving one never changes the course you are working on.
