ChatGPT reaches Xogogy through Codex, in the ChatGPT desktop app or the Codex command line. The connection runs on your own computer.
Use the AI workspace
- #
In Xogogy, choose Help › Connect an assistant, then Create AI workspace.
- #
Open the ChatGPT desktop app and switch to Codex.
- #
Open a local folder as your workspace and choose the AI workspace folder.
- #
When Codex asks whether to trust the folder, trust it. Codex reads the folder's settings only from a trusted folder.
- #
Ask: "Use Xogogy to list my projects." Approve the Xogogy tools when Codex asks.
With the Codex command line, open a terminal in the workspace folder, run codex and trust the folder when asked.
Or install the plugin for ChatGPT
- #
In Xogogy, choose File › Options › Settings, go to Connect an assistant and choose ChatGPT desktop.
- #
Choose Install for ChatGPT and Codex. Xogogy shows exactly which files it will change; nothing is written until you choose Confirm and install.
- #
Restart ChatGPT desktop, open the plugins directory, choose Personal Plugins and install Xogogy.
Tip: ChatGPT in a web browser cannot reach Xogogy: the connection only runs on your computer. Use the desktop app or the Codex command line.
