Xogogy has no AI of its own. Instead it connects to the AI app you already use. The AI workspace is the quickest way: one folder that tells your AI app how to reach Xogogy and how to work on courses.
Create the workspace
- #
The first time you start Xogogy with a supported AI app on the computer, Connect Xogogy to your AI opens by itself. If no supported app is found, it stays closed and the Assistants status in the header gets a ring and a tooltip: No supported AI app was found. To connect one later, use Help › Connect an assistant. Choose Help › Connect an assistant at any time to open it.
- #
Check AI apps on this computer. It lists the supported apps it found: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code.
- #
Choose Create AI workspace (Update AI workspace if the folder is already there). Xogogy creates the folder Documents › Course Studio AI Workspace and shows its path.
- #
Choose Open folder to see it, or Copy path to paste it into your AI app.
Open it in your AI app
- #
Choose the ChatGPT, Claude or Other AI apps tab and follow its steps.
- #
In your AI app, open the workspace folder as a local workspace or project.
- #
When the app asks whether to trust the folder or use the xogogy server, approve it.
- #
Ask for something, for example: "Use Xogogy to show me the outline of my course."
Tip: Xogogy writes only inside that one folder. It never changes your AI apps' own settings. It creates the folder when you choose the button, and after Xogogy updates it refreshes the files already there; copy the folder first if you want to customise them. If the folder already exists, the button reads Update AI workspace.
Not now closes the window, and it does not open by itself again. Other ways to connect opens the per-app routes in Settings. The assistant connection comes with the app on Windows and Mac.
