Claude Code works best from the AI workspace: the folder already holds the settings and the instructions Claude needs.
Use the AI workspace
- #
In Xogogy, choose Help › Connect an assistant, then Create AI workspace. See How do I create the AI workspace?.
- #
Open the Claude desktop app, choose Code and start a local session. Or open a terminal in the workspace folder and run
claude. - #
Choose the workspace folder for the session.
- #
When Claude Code asks whether to use the xogogy server from this folder, approve it.
- #
Ask: "Use Xogogy to show me the outline of my course."
Or add it with one command
- #
In Xogogy, choose File › Options › Settings, go to Connect an assistant and choose Claude Code.
- #
Choose Copy next to the command.
- #
Paste it into a terminal and press Enter.
- #
Run
claude mcp listto check that Xogogy shows as connected, or type/mcpinside Claude Code.
Tip: In the AI workspace, Claude Code can use the tools that read and add to a course without asking each time. Deleting things still asks first.
