Once connected, your assistant can read the whole course and change it with the same tools the editor uses. Ask in plain course words; you do not need to know any file formats.
Start with a request
- #
Open the course in Xogogy with Allow assistants to connect on, so you can watch.
- #
Ask for one clear thing. Some examples:
- "Add a lesson called Next steps with three slides."
- "Create three images in the style of this course and put them on slide one."
- "Fix spelling and grammar on every slide, and list what you changed."
- "Write five multiple-choice questions on this section and add a results slide."
- "Check that every image has alt text, and write any that are missing."
- "Change the theme's accent colour to our brand green."
- "Check the triggers on every slide for order mistakes and fix the ones you can."
- "Find spacing and punctuation slips in the course text and fix them."
- #
Look at the result on the slide. Undo anything you do not want.
What your assistant's content looks like
Content your assistant adds starts in your course's theme styles, so you do not have to format it afterwards:
- A button starts in the Theme Button quick style, a rectangle with text in Elevated Card, and a text box in the Body text style, or Heading 1 for a title.
- Flip cards, tabs and accordions use the theme colours, with labels centred and kept off the edges.
- The styles follow your theme, so changing the theme's accent colour restyles them too. If you set your own defaults for new objects, those are used instead.
- A button, card or text placed beside or under other text gets a box sized for what it is, not the whole area. Several items placed under the text sit side by side and wrap to a new row; several beside it stack down the column, so they do not land on top of each other. When the area is full, your assistant is told so.
For fonts, your assistant can see the seven fonts included with every course and suggests them first, because they look the same for every learner. Ask, for example, "use Literata for headings and Inter for body text".
Ask for a different look by name, for example "use the Solid Accent style for these buttons". Your assistant can list every style in the course and when to use each.
For a course an assistant built before these styles, ask it to "apply the course look". It gives plain objects the theme look in one step you can undo, and tells you which objects it left alone. Objects you formatted yourself never change. In the editor, the same command is Course look on the Design tab.
How images are made
Xogogy makes no images itself. When you ask for images, your assistant makes them with its own tools. It first looks at the images already in the course, so new ones match their style, and it writes alt text for each one.
Tip: Ask your assistant to "check this course before publishing". It reviews the outline, runs the course checks and reports what still needs work, without publishing anything.
When you ask your assistant to start a new course, it makes a new course folder the same way Save does: in your projects folder, never inside another course, and with Name (2) when the name is taken. It tells you where the course went.
While you are typing in a text box, your assistant cannot change that text box; it waits and tries again after you finish. See when you and an assistant edit at the same time.
Your assistant cannot publish for you, and it can only reach courses you open or keep in your projects folder.
