Tables in Xogogy are real tables: each cell holds editable text, a heading row is announced as headings by screen readers, and a caption says what the table is about.
Insert a table
- #
Select the slide and choose Table on the Insert tab.
- #
In the Insert table dialog, set the number of Rows and Columns.
- #
Tick First row contains column headings if the top row labels the columns.
- #
Type a Table caption that says what the table shows.
- #
Fill in the cells, such as Row 1, column 1. You can also leave them for later.
- #
Choose Place on slide, then click on the slide where the table should go.
Edit a table
- #
Select the table on the slide. On the Format tab (its badge says Table), choose Edit table, or open the Inspector's Design tab. The table controls are in its Table section; when the section is closed, its header shows the table's size, such as 3 × 4, header row.
- #
Type in any cell to change its text, and edit the Caption.
- #
Choose + Add row or + Add column to grow the table, or − Remove row and the matching column control to shrink it. A table holds up to 20 rows and 12 columns.
- #
Tick or clear First row is a header row.
Tip: Keep the caption meaningful even when the slide already has a title. Learners using a screen reader hear the caption before the table.
