How do I draw random questions from a question bank?

Open Slides › Question banks, create a bank, move questions into it, then insert a random-draw slide that picks a set number each attempt.

A question bank is a pool of questions. A random-draw slide picks some of them for each attempt, so two learners, or two attempts, can see different questions.

Create a bank

  1. #

Open the Slides tab and choose Question banks. The Question Banks & Random Pools window opens.

  2. #

Type a New bank title and choose Create bank.

Fill the bank

  1. #

Select the bank in the list.

  2. #

Under Other Course Questions, choose Move to bank beside each question you want in the pool.

Set how many to draw

  1. #

In Bank Settings, set Default draw count. Leave it blank to draw them all.

  2. #

Turn on Randomize draw order per attempt to shuffle the order each time.

  3. #

    Choose Save bank settings.

Add the random-draw slide

  1. #

Under Insert Random-Draw Slide, enter a Slide title.

  2. #

Set Questions to draw on slide.

  3. #

Under Link to quiz, choose the quiz the drawn questions count toward.

  4. #

    Choose Insert random-draw slide.

Tip: Choose Preview and open Quiz draws in the Preview side panel to see which questions were drawn.
