Open in browser shows your course in your own web browser, the way it runs once published. It is the quickest way to check a course that uses its own JavaScript, because the course's scripts run there.
Open a preview copy
- #
Open your course in the Xogogy desktop app.
- #
Open the Preview options arrow beside Preview, at the right of the ribbon tab row, and choose Open in browser. (In Preview, the same button is at the top of the side panel.)
- #
Xogogy prepares a preview copy and opens it in your default browser.
- #
Play through the course. The page says it is a preview copy.
- #
To check another screen size, use the Preview device toolbar at the top: Fit, Desktop, Tablet or Phone, with Landscape and Portrait. See How do I check my course at phone and tablet sizes?.
What to expect from the copy
- It is a snapshot. When you change the course, choose Open in browser again to see the change.
- It saves no progress, so each visit starts fresh.
- It is not a published package and needs no licence.
- Xogogy deletes the copy when you close the app.
Tip: Keep the browser tab open only while you test. Once Xogogy closes, the copy is gone, and a tab left open may stop loading pictures it had not shown yet.
To give the course to someone else, publish it instead: see How do I publish a website package?.
