How do I open the sample course?

Choose Open sample course on the start screen or in File. It opens a ten-slide course you can explore and change freely.

Last updated

Xogogy comes with a built-in sample course, A healthier desk setup. It has ten slides with images, widgets, a layer, a variable, a cue point, a three-question quiz and a results slide, which makes it a safe place to try every part of the editor.

Open it

  1. #

Start Xogogy. On the start screen, choose Open sample course. If a course is already open, choose File › Open sample course.

  2. #

The course opens with its first slide on the stage. Its header shows 0 findings, because it was made in Xogogy and nothing needed converting.

  3. #

Choose Preview at the right of the ribbon tab row to play it the way a learner will.

Keep your changes

The sample opens in memory, so your changes last only for this session until you save them to a folder.

  1. #

Choose Save in the header, or press Ctrl+S.

  2. #

A save dialog opens in the Documents › Course Studio folder, with A healthier desk setup as the name. Change the name if you like, and choose Save.

  3. #

Xogogy makes a course folder with that name. If the name is taken, it uses A healthier desk setup (2) and says so.

  4. #

From now on, Save writes to that folder, and you can reopen it with Open project or by double-clicking its .xogogy file.

Tip: If you cancel the save dialog, Xogogy says Kept in memory for this session only and keeps the • Unsaved mark, so you can save later.
