Choose xAPI or cmi5 when your LMS or learning record store (LRS) asks for it. Both send learner activity as statements rather than SCORM data.
Publish the package
- #
Choose Publish… at the right of the ribbon tab row.
- #
Under Where is it going?, choose Your LMS.
- #
Under Package format, choose xAPI (Tin Can) or cmi5.
- #
Check the Activity ID (IRI). It is the web-address-style name that identifies this course to your LMS or LRS, such as
https://example.com/courses/desk-setup. Xogogy fills it in when the course already has one. It must be a full address. - #
Open How the LMS connects if you want to see what your LMS passes to the course when it starts it.
- #
Read Before you publish, then choose Download package. The file name ends in
.xapi.zipor.cmi5.zip. - #
The save dialog starts in your Downloads folder the first time, and after that in the folder you last published to. Once the file is saved, the dialog says where it went, for example Saved My-Course.cmi5.zip in Downloads, with the full path below. Choose Show in folder to open that folder with the package selected, then Close.
Tip: Keep the same Activity ID when you publish an update, so your LMS or LRS treats it as the same course.
The Activity ID is written only into the package you download. Then upload the package the way your LMS or LRS describes for xAPI or cmi5 content.
