How do I add a cue point?

Move the Timeline playhead to the moment you want, choose Add cue point, name it, then use "the timeline reaches a cue point" in an interaction.

A cue point is a named mark on a slide's timeline. Interactions can wait for it, which is how you line up an action with a moment in the narration.

Add a cue point

  1. #

Open the slide and find the Timeline below it.

  2. #

Move the playhead to the moment you want. You can type an exact time in the playhead field.

  3. #

Choose Add cue point. The new marker appears on the ruler with its name selected.

  4. #

Type a useful name, such as Show diagram, and press Enter.

When the slide has narration, the Narration row has its own cue-point button, and double-clicking its waveform adds a cue point at that word.

Use it in an interaction

  1. #

Choose + Add interaction on the Inspector's Interactions tab.

  2. #

Under WHEN, choose the timeline reaches a cue point and pick your cue point.

  3. #

Under THEN, choose what should happen, for example Show object.

  4. #

    Choose Save.

Move, rename or delete a cue point

  1. #

Click the marker to move the playhead to it and see its name.

  2. #

Change the name in the cue point name field.

  3. #

Choose Delete cue point to remove it. If an interaction still uses it, Xogogy says which one, so you can change that interaction first.

Tip: Cue points are placed to the nearest tenth of a second.
