Animations and timing

• How do I animate an object?

  Select the object, open the Animations tab, choose Entrance, Exit, Emphasis or Motion path, pick an effect, and set its duration and delay.

• How do I copy animations from one object to another?

  Select the object with the animations, choose Animation painter on the Animations tab, then click the object that should get them.

• How do I add a slide transition?

  Select the slide, choose an effect on the Transitions tab, set its Direction and Duration, and use Apply to all for the whole course.

• How do I change when an object appears?

  Type Start and Duration on Animations › Timing, or drag the object's bar in the Timeline; set Until end to keep it to the end.

• How do I add a cue point?

  Move the Timeline playhead to the moment you want, choose Add cue point, name it, then use "the timeline reaches a cue point" in an interaction.

• How do I add narration to a slide?

  In the Timeline's Narration row, choose Add narration… and pick an MP3, WAV or Ogg file. The waveform shows where the words are, so you can time objects to them.
