Every interaction on a slide or layer appears as a card on the Inspector's Interactions tab, grouped by the object it belongs to. Each card has its own controls.
Find the interaction
- #
Open the slide. To see a layer's interactions, switch to that layer first with the Base layer ▾ menu on the stage bar or the layer list in the Timeline. The Interactions tab names the layer it is showing.
- #
Use the object filters at the top of the tab, such as Start button (1) or Whole slide (1), to narrow the list.
- #
Select a group heading to expand or collapse its cards.
Change an interaction
- #
On the card, choose Edit.
- #
Change the WHEN, IF or THEN choices, and check the summary line.
- #
Choose Save, or Cancel to leave it as it was.
Change the order
Interactions with the same event run from top to bottom, so order matters.
- #
Drag the card by its grip (⋮⋮) above or below another card in the same group.
- #
Or, with the keyboard, move to the card's up or down arrow button and press Enter.
- #
Choose Preview to check the new order behaves as you expect.
When the order makes interactions misbehave, a warning line appears under them. See fix a trigger order warning.
Turn an interaction off without deleting it
- #
On the card, choose Disable. The interaction stays in the course but does not run.
- #
Choose Enable to turn it back on.
Delete an interaction
Interactions on the same object with the same event form a group, and interactions on the whole slide are listed under Slide interactions. To delete every interaction in a group at once, choose Delete (N)… on the group heading. Check the count, then choose Delete N interactions, for example Delete 3 interactions, or Cancel. Ctrl+Z straight afterwards brings the whole group back. Disable (N) and Enable (N) on the heading turn the whole group off and on.
An interaction that changes or tests an object's state keeps that state from being deleted. Change or delete the interaction first; see object states.
Tip: The Interactions tab uses the Inspector's full height. Drag the edge between the stage and the Inspector to make it wider.
