A PowerPoint deck makes a quick start for a course. Xogogy opens .pptx files and turns each slide into a course slide you can then make interactive.
Import the deck
- #
On the start screen, choose Import course…, or choose File › Import course… if a course is open.
- #
Pick your
.pptxfile. - #
In the Import course file dialog, check that the Detected format reads Microsoft PowerPoint presentation (.pptx).
- #
Check the Project folder name and Location for the new course folder (it starts in the Documents › Course Studio folder; Choose location… picks another place). Then choose Import. A name already taken there becomes Name (2). Xogogy takes the course title from the file. To change it later, edit Course title on the Inspector's Course tab.
See what came across
- #
The slides, formatted text, pictures, shapes, speaker notes and simple transitions are on the slides.
- #
Select the findings count in the header to see anything that did not come across exactly.
- #
Play the deck with Preview at the right of the ribbon tab row.
Make it a course
- #
Add buttons and interactions so learners can move and choose.
- #
Add a question or a quiz.
- #
Set a completion rule before you publish.
Tip: Save the deck as .pptx in PowerPoint first if it is in the older .ppt format.
